Two days have passed since Antonio David Flores’s daughter went to the Provincial Court of Madrid to appear before the judge for the complaint that filed the La Ossa producer, responsible for the issuance of the documentary Rocío Carrasco: tell the truth to keep alive. There he met his mother, whom he had not seen for 13 years. A tense and very painful situation that the young woman, who left the enclosure wrapped in tears, did not want to speak at that time. This Wednesday, already quieter, he has confessed: “I have spent a few very difficult days.”
The granddaughter of Rocío Jurado returned to Malaga after Careo. Here, where he resides since the age of 14, his family and friends were waiting for her to wrap her at such a complicated moment. This Wednesday, through social networks, Rocío wanted to thank the love and support received and has expressed his desire to forget the evil drink and focus on the positive: “Again at home, after having spent a very difficult days for me, I just want to try to resume my life with the normality that touches me now”. And he has made it clear, once again, that he will not speak of his judicial battle or the relationship with his mother: “You know my position with this issue.”
Mother and daughter had been speaking or talking 13 years old. The documentary starring Carrasco, in which he accused Antonio David Flores of “abuser” and blamed him for having separated her from her two children, put Rocío daughter in the eye of the media hurricane and made her the goal of thousands of haters who harassed her for months through social networks. As if that were not enough, Rocío Jurado’s daughter facilitated confidential information and documentation on the producer, which is why he has sued the Osa Producciones, then the TV factory.
One million euros at stake
Rocío Flores claims civil compensation of one million euros for moral damage and points to an alleged profit of the producer; The daughter of Rocío Jurado, on the other hand, acts as a key witness in defense of the producer, who argues that the dissemination of the information was carried out with her consent as her daughter’s legal guardian at that time.
The Court must determine whether or not there was a valid consent for the dissemination of confidential judicial documents related to Rocío Flores, as well as if the producer incurred a crime of revelation of secrets aggravated by the nature of the data and their massive public exposure. The resolution of this case could sit on the limits between the right to information and the protection of the intimacy of minors in the media field.
