According to sources within the university, the exhibit appeared on June 4th at 11:10 PM in a building on the Hanseong University campus, located in Seongbuk-gu. The displays included the term “Josenjing” (a derogatory term for Koreans), mixed with images resembling the Japanese flag.
Another part of the exhibit stated, “Joseon is the only country to fight moral warfare. Still, I shout.”
The installation was reportedly the work of a male student from the university’s painting department. Hanseong University officials stated that the exhibit was not approved by the school. A staff member discovered the unauthorized display shortly after its installation and contacted the student responsible.
