By the 46th minute, Belgium found themselves trailing by double digits for the first time, with the score at 15-25.

Hubo goalkeeper Arthur Vanhove’s efforts prevented an even more lopsided scoreline, keeping the deficit at ten goals with approximately five minutes remaining. However, a final surge from the Croatians extended their lead to thirteen goals. Ultimately, the Red Wolves succumbed to a 22-34 defeat.
