The all-time table shows the statistics of all teams that have ever competed in the 1st Handball Bundesliga. When it was founded in 1966, the league was initially divided into two seasons until the single-track Bundesliga was introduced in 1977. Since then, a total of 95 clubs have been active in Germany’s highest box office.
The first German champions in the 1966/67 season were VfL Gummersbach. As the winner of the North season, he clearly prevailed in the final with a score of 23:7 against the winner of the South season, TV Hochdorf. VfL then shaped an entire era. The time of THW Kiel began at the beginning of the 90s. The THW won its first championship in 1994 and now leads the all-time table by a clear margin.
