Han Dong-hoon Expulsion: Seo Jeong-wook on Internal Opposition & Jang Dong-hyuk’s Stability

Lawyer Seo Jeong-wook, a conservative political critic, predicted, “The Jang Dong-hyuk system will not be shaken,” regarding the controversy within the party following the expulsion of former People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon.

Lawyer Seo appeared on YTN Radio on the 30th and said, “Now, come and shake CEO Jang Dong-hyuk to resign? I think this is a bit excessive.”

He said, “It would have been nice if they had reached a compromise somehow, but it is unfortunate that they ended up being expelled,” but added, “Who is the alternative to this and who should lead the local elections? There is no alternative. This cannot go to the emergency committee again right now, so I think even if they continue like this and Jang Dong-hyuk has to step down, this is not the trend.”

Regarding the expulsion of the former representative on that basis, he claimed, “7 members of the Supreme Committee supported it, and it was overwhelming in the leadership,” and “Also, among the 107 People Power Party members, 16 of Han Dong-hoon’s group (regarding opposition to the expulsion) issued a statement, and even including the Alternative and Mirae Minority factions, the number is about 20.”

He predicted, “Therefore, I believe that the members of the National Assembly are not in the mainstream (opposition to expulsion), and if you look at public opinion, the public opinion for expulsion was a bit high,” and added, “Therefore, I believe that the Jang Dong-hyuk system is unshakable.”
