It looks like another growing restaurant brand is headed to Loudoun County. This time it’s Halal Munchies which serves up burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries and more.
According to paperwork filed with the county, Halal Munchies is planning on opening in the Riverside Square retail center in Ashburn.
That’s the plaza on the north side of Route 7 off Riverside Parkway with the Texas Roadhouse, a Burger King, a Sheetz gas station, and other businesses.
Halal Munchies is reported going to take the space left vacant when Black Hog BBQ moved out nearly a year ago.
Halal Munchies appears to have locations across a number of states including New York where it is based.
There are also locations open or in the works in Michigan, Connecticut, Ohio, Texas, Florida, and elsewhere. Here in Virginia, we found stores listed for Virginia Beach, Richmond, Manassas, and Stafford.
The menu at the various locations appears to vary some, but we see meat and rice platters, cheeseburgers, chicken tenders and chicken sandwiches, wings, gyros, salads, French fries, and more among the offerings.
The Ashburn plans are likely brand new so still too soon to predict when Halal Munchies might open locally. We’ve got messages in to the company for more details.
