The Big Ten conference semi-finals in college hockey will feature a clash between Montreal Canadiens prospect Michael Hage and number one prospect for the upcoming NHL draft Gavin McKenna.
The Michigan Wolverines and Penn State Nittany Lions advanced to the next round of the playoffs with victories Wednesday.
With the University of Michigan, Hage assisted on four of his team’s goals in a 6-1 victory over Notre Dame.
Michigan’s victory is no surprise, having 17 more regular season wins than its opponents.
Hage set up four of his team’s first five goals.
As for McKenna, his two assists paved the way for Penn State, which defeated Minnesota by a score of 6-2.
Penn State and Michigan will meet on Saturday.
