Gwangju’s High-Tech Push Takes Center Stage

Gwangju Metropolitan city is set to highlight its advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and future car technologies at the upcoming World IT Show 2025, Korea’s premier information and communication technology (ICT) exhibition. The city aims to leverage this platform to attract both domestic and international investment.

Investment Drive at Korea’s Largest ICT Expo

The Gwangju Free Economic zone Authority will collaborate to manage an “Investment Attracting Public Relations Center” at the 17th annual World IT Show, scheduled to take place at COEX in Seoul from April 24th to 26th. This exhibition, hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, is anticipated to draw over 500 companies and more than 100,000 visitors, providing a significant opportunity for Gwangju to showcase its potential.

Gwangju plans to showcase its recent accomplishments, including the operational National AI Data Center, the designated Gwangju AI Convergence District (High-Tech 3 District) special development zone, and the Light Green National Industrial Complex.The city will also highlight its recognition as an outstanding local government in 2024, the designation of the future car industrial complex, and the performance of Furiosa AI, a local AI chip company.
