england’s bowling attack has suffered a setback as Gus Atkinson is set to miss the upcoming three-match One-Day international series against the West Indies due to a right hamstring strain.

The Surrey bowler picked up the injury during the recent innings-and-45-run victory over Zimbabwe in a four-day Test match at Trent Bridge. Details of the match are available here.

According to team sources, Atkinson will not be replaced in the squad for the ODI series, which begins at Edgbaston on Thursday. He will now begin a rehabilitation program under the guidance of the ECB medical team.

The 27-year-old was already not included in the T20 international series squad, which follows the ODI matches.
