“Golden Forest”, a co-production between TVB and Mainland China starring three-time TV star Kwok Jin-an, will be broadcast in the Mainland on September 17 and TVB Jade Channel will broadcast on October 13. The 25-episode plot tells the story of the grievances and resentments of a wealthy family. Among them, Guo Jinan plays the role of a king in the jewelry industry. Of course, his dress and outfit must be consistent with his status as a billionaire. However, mainland netizens posted on Xiaohongshu that the layout and atmosphere of the show are shabby, like “a poor person pretending to be rich.” They listed three aspects, including the cramped office seating and the poor conditions of the hospital where the rich are staying. Many people also talked about the GUESS watch worn by Guo Jinan as a popular item, “Would billionaires wear this kind of watch?”
“The Golden Forest” is a hit on mainland online platforms, and many netizens are discussing the plot.
