Peseschkian’s speech left many unanswered questions, as his statements would also affect the USA, which maintains several important military bases in the Gulf region. The Iranian president clearly rejected any surrender.
The UAE alone reported on Saturday afternoon that it had intercepted 15 missiles and 119 drones so far. So far, a total of around 200 rockets, 1,100 drones and several cruise missiles have been stopped. Saudi Arabia also reported intercepting 21 drones. Dubai Airport temporarily halted operations after a drone hit the airport and an explosion occurred, according to Arab media.
Intense attacks on Iran
Israel and the USA again reported intensive attacks on Iran on Saturday night. Iranian media broadcast footage of fires at the capital’s airport. According to Israel, an underground ballistic missile storage facility and a Revolutionary Guard military university were among those attacked. More than 80 combat aircraft were in use.
Media reports that Russia is providing Iran with location information and movement data for American troops, ships and aircraft have not yet been denied by the USA. According to CNN, most of the information shared is images taken using Moscow’s modern satellites.
