Acapulco, Gro., September 27, 2025.- The Safe Casco operation is part of the Comprehensive Security Strategy promoted by the Guerrero Government. Beyond sanctioning, this effort has managed to save lives, prevent accidents and promote road education between motorcyclists throughout the state.
According to a bulletin, so far this year, the General Directorate of State Transit has sent more than 2,400 motorcycles to the corralón, mainly due to lack of documentation or not carrying the mandatory security equipment.
Through more than 500 road operations carried out in various regions, 4,800 infractions, 835 admonitions have also been applied and about 4,000 road orientations have been provided, focused on raising awareness among the population about the importance of complying with the State Transit Law.
The results are clear: the correct use of the helmet and respect for the regulations have contributed to reducing mortal motorcycle accidents by up to 50%. In addition, during these operations, vehicles with theft report have been recovered, which have been published on the official website of the Ministry of Public Security for their return to the owners.
Citizen acceptance has been evident. In social networks, many people have expressed their support for the operation, noting that it generates greater security and road culture among motorcyclists.
The safe helmet operation not only protects the lives of those who drive a motorcycle, it also helps prevent crimes and recover stolen units. This is that in recent months, with the assurance of more than 560 motorcycles with theft report in August and almost 600 in September, a reduction of more than 40% in criminal acts linked to the use of these vehicles has been achieved.
