A terminally ill fan still gets the chance GTA 6 to play before it’s too late. The heartwarming news is the result of an appeal that a Ubisoft employee sent out to the world.
Via LinkedIn, Anthony Armstrong, developer at Ubisoft Toronto, asked his network to put him in touch with Rockstar. A family member who had been battling cancer for years was told he had 6 to 12 months to live. That would mean that he might no longer be able to play GTA 6, which he had been looking forward to for years.
Naturally, it was hoped that something could be arranged and after the message was widely shared, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, contacted Armstrong. Subsequently, Rockstar was also spoken to and that conversation yielded “great news”.
It has not been confirmed in so many words that the terminally ill fan can already play GTA 6, but it is almost certain that this is the case. Armstrong’s message on LinkedIn has now been removed, possibly for legal reasons. Screenshots taken and distributed via social media are also disappearing en masse offline.
