The cause of the disruption has been identified as a failure in a connection point within the main water pipeline. NEW, the regional energy and water supplier, has confirmed that the Allrath and Südstadt districts are the most severely affected by this incident.

Extensive Repair Operations in Progress

A specialized network GmbH has been working diligently since midday to repair the damaged pipeline. The repair process involves several critical steps: first, the remaining water in the affected pipes must be pumped out.
