Grenoble Foot 38 is preparing for the upcoming Ligue 2 season amidst important financial constraints and uncertainty surrounding the rental of the Stade des Alpes. Club director Max Marty addressed these challenges in a recent interview with the Dauphiné Libéré.
Transfer Market Strategy
marty outlined the club’s strategy for the transfer market, stating: « We will surely have other arrivals, including a 6 or 8 “box to box” medium as well as a central defender who can play right side. Sporing,we will be ready […] We still need a few departures in addition to the players at the end of the contract. We have proposals for some but they are not yet up to what we expect. We can talk about our goalkeeper Mamadou Diop for example or our junior striker Olaian. We also gave a Tchaptchet outing voucher, but it to has a price. »
Stade des Alpes Uncertainty
The future of Grenoble Foot 38 at the Alps stadium remains uncertain due to ongoing discussions regarding the rental agreement. Marty commented: « We will see what the metropolis offers us. At the GF, we want to use the stadium for football by paying the right price. Afterwards, governing, it is indeed planning. If you have to play elsewhere, we are ready to do it. We are in contact with a few clubs. If the conflict with the metro does not go out and that you have to go to Gueugnon, we will go […] But common sense is to advocate appeasement. »

Gaëtan Paquiez Contract Negotiations
Negotiations are underway with captain Gaëtan Paquiez, whose contract is expiring.Marty explained: “ Gaëtan is at the end of the contract at the GF38, he is our captain, he is 30 years old, he has experience and he has a price. What he had no longer returned to our new financial rules. We discuss, we did not argue. It is possible that we find an agreement. »
