The Milwaukee Bucks star, Giannis Antetokounmpo, lived up to expectations, scoring 29 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, and dishing out 2 assists.

Giannis wasn’t the only Antetokounmpo making an impact at the Arena Riga. His brother, Kostas Antetokounmpo, contributed with 4 blocks and 3 defensive rebounds, helping to contain the Lithuanians after their initial lead.

Greece, a former world runner-up (2006) and European champion (1987, 2005), has reached the semi-finals of a major competition for the first time since 2009, when they won a bronze medal.

Despite Jonas Valancunas’ strong performance for Lithuania (24 points, 15 rebounds), and the absence of the injured Rokas Jokubaitis, Lithuania fell short.

Sengun’s Historic Triple-Double

“At the age of 23, Sengun delighted the public and his teammates: 19 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists, not to mention the genius.”

Earlier in the day, Turkey secured their spot in the semi-finals by defeating Poland, led by their young NBA center, Alperen Sengun.
