by drbyos

On Monday, January 26, at 5 p.m., the first program of the second edition of the Grape Harvest Streaming premiered, a cycle dedicated to providing information and exclusive interviews within the framework of the celebration of the 90 years of the National Grape Harvest Festival.

In this new edition, the Harvest Streaming proposes to bring the public closer to the main events linked to the upcoming National Harvest Festival 2026: “90 harvests of the same strain.” Also, you can enjoy interviews with special guests and party makers, who will share how Vendimia is experienced from the inside.

The leadership is once again in charge of Rebeca Rodríguez Viñolo and Mauricio Morello, both Mendoza communicators with extensive experience in grape harvesting, who were also in charge of the previous cycle.

Guests with great grape harvest experience

In this first meeting, the program had 3 guests with extensive experience in the grape harvest field. First of all, Sebastian Ladrón de Guevaradirector of Creative Industries, presented the contest Vintage Poncho 90 yearsan initiative that invites designers and artisans over 18 years of age to create an original poncho. The contest seeks to rescue the textile identity of the province and promote innovation in contemporary design through one of the most iconic garments in the region.

During his speech, he explained that the poncho is considered an emblematic garment of the Cuyo identity, historically linked to General San Martín and recognized as “the second flag.” In the evaluation of the proposals, priority will be given to ensuring that the design represents the Harvest beyond aesthetics. The call closes on Monday, February 16 and the winners will be announced at the Paseo Federal, during the Blessing of the Fruits in Lavalle on Friday, February 27.

Then, Pablo Mariano Perridirector of the 2026 National Harvest Festival, expressed his excitement at being in charge of its second Central Act, in an especially significant year due to the 90 years of the celebration. He announced that it will be a show full of surprises, inviting the public to pay attention to every moment.

Perri said that the story of the show will include two central characters, deeply linked to the history of Mendoza and the Vendimia, who will question the audience about what has been done with the Festival throughout these 90 years. It is a journey through different vintages and moments that have been recorded in the collective memory of the people of Mendoza. In addition, he pointed out that the experience of having directed “Coronados de historia y futur” (Vendimia 2024) gave him the necessary tools and enthusiasm to take on this new challenge, and he even revealed that the theme of the Vendimia 2026 arose during the general rehearsals of that edition.

Finally, Walter GazzoPress Director of the Undersecretariat of Culture of Mendoza, carried out an exhaustive review of the cultural agenda, highlighting events such as the participation of the Mendoza Philharmonic Orchestra in the Valparaíso Tango Festival, the positive balance of the musical cycles Wine Blues and Jazz on the Lake, and the calendar of the next Departmental Harvests, highlighting its free, diverse and constantly growing and professional nature.

An official channel to experience the Harvest

Together, the three guests agreed to highlight the cultural, artistic and institutional value of the Harvest, the strategic role of streaming as a dissemination space and the importance of an active, accessible and federal cultural agenda within the framework of the 90 years of the National Harvest Festival.

Thus, this space, open to the entire community every Monday at 5 p.m., and available to watch on demand through the official YouTube channel of the Government of Mendoza, allows the Mendoza public to get closer to the diversity of activities that take place during the most important time in the province.
