The 2025 Asia -Pacific Local Government Conference, 2025, the 10th World Local Government Union Asia -Pacific Branch (UCLGASPAC) Goyang General Assembly, opened on the 24th. The general meeting, which will be held at the Goyang KINTEX exhibition hall for three days until the 26th, will be attended by about 500 people, including 220 local government representatives, international organizations, and domestic and foreign guests. It is the first UCLGASPAC general meeting and the tenth general meeting hosted by the basic local government.
The theme of this general meeting is ‘sustainable global self -sufficient city and region for the future.’ Discuss job creation, urban growth, youth leadership, energy self -sufficiency, and family -friendly cities.
Immediately after the opening ceremony on the 25th, the main forum will be held at 11 am on the theme of ‘Sustainable Global Self -Four Cities and Local City for the Future’. Jean -Tard Special envoys present their vision as a video keynote, and the deputy mayor of Kao Jin, China and Vice -Chairman of the Australian Federation of Daria Huri, will lead the forum. We share success stories such as renewable energy, circulating economy, and smart infrastructure, and seek the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDGS) and cooperation.

In the afternoon, the sub -forum will be discussed about five topics including job creation, youth leadership, energy self -sufficiency, family -friendly city, and urban growth, including Sarah Hoerich UCLG World Vice President, Maldiv Malesi Mayor, and the Embassy of the Swiss Militar.
Goyang Declaration… Asia -Pacific cooperation and future vision sharing
At 6 pm on the 26th, the declaration of Goyang Special Cases will be announced, which shares the Asia -Pacific regional cooperation and future vision. The Declaration contains the roles and responsibilities of local governments to cope with global challenges such as geopolitical instability, climate crisis, and inequality. In particular, the company plans to officially launch ‘UCLGASPAC 2026-2030 Manifesto’ and adopt it as a strategic framework for institutionalizing local government development capabilities.

‘Goyang Declaration’ will present five visions: ▶ ▶ Fostering entrepreneurship and green economy ▶ Smart urban planning and climate response infrastructure ▶ Young leadership system, renewable energy conversion and investment expansion, and family -friendly city creation. In addition, it will call for cooperation with national governments, international organizations, private, academia, and civil society, and also demand the improvement of the international financial system in order for local governments to implement sustainability strategies.
