Severe weather forecasts led to schedule changes and cancellations at the New York City music festival.

The second day of Governors Ball 2025 experienced disruptions due to inclement weather,causing organizers to postpone and cancel several performances. The festival is taking place at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in New York City.

On Saturday,June 7th,the three-day music event faced potential safety hazards due to predicted rain and thunderstorms,which prompted adjustments to the day’s schedule.

Festival organizers announced the changes via social media, stating, “Due to predicted weather, doors will be delayed until 4:30pm. Please delay your arrival and plan accordingly. Stay tuned for the updated schedule!”

The gates were originally scheduled to open at 12 p.m. on Saturday.

An updated schedule was later released, confirming the cancellation of performances by Lexa Gates, Yaya Bey, The Backfires, and othre artists scheduled for the early part of the day. Performances scheduled later in the day were pushed back, with most set times delayed by at least an hour.

Saturday’s headliner, Olivia Rodrigo, who was originally scheduled to perform at 8:30 p.m., had her set time moved to 9:25 p.m. Feud and Wave to Earth, who were set to close out other stages, had their performances moved to 8:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., respectively. Marina, Young Miko, Conan Grey, and car Seat Headrest were among the other artists still slated to perform on Saturday evening.

Governors Ball 2025 commenced on Friday with performances by Tyler, The Creator, Benson Boone, Mk.gee, T-Pain, Tyla, Role model, The Backseat Lovers, and JPEGMAFIA, among others.The festival is scheduled to conclude on Sunday, June 8th, with performances by Hozier, Mt. Joy, Clairo, Raye, Royel Otis, The Japanese House, Amaarae, Key glock, Berlioz, and Montell Fish, among others.
