On the morning of February 23, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting to present his New Year greetings and order the immediate deployment of the Government Office‘s missions from the first day of resumption after the Tet holidays in the Year of the Horse 2026.

This meeting took place in the presence of deputy prime ministers as well as all executives, civil servants and employees of units attached to the government.
According to the report of Minister and Head of the Government Office, Tran Van Son, the preparations were rigorously orchestrated, in accordance with Directive No. 55 of the Secretariat. The government notably promulgated Resolution No. 418 relating to the granting of gifts to beneficiaries of social policies, retirees and people who have rendered meritorious services, thus marking the celebration of the XIVe National Party Congress.
During the festive period, government leaders increased their trips to the field to visit the war wounded, the families of martyrs and religious dignitaries. The Prime Minister visited Viet Duc and Bach Mai hospitals to encourage the medical contingent and patients, while diligently inspecting strategic infrastructure projects such as the Huu Nghi – Chi Lang and Dong Dang – Trà Linh highways, as well as the Nhon – Hanoi Station urban railway project.
On the administrative level, during the nine days of vacation, the Government Office provided exemplary permanence, receiving nearly 970 official documents and publishing 150 others, including decisions, dispatches and government announcements.
Speaking at the meeting, Pham Minh Chinh stressed that the nation welcomed spring 2026 in an atmosphere of security and human solidarity. He praised the vital consultative role of the Office in the overall successes recorded during the last five-year term and the year 2025. For the 2026 financial year, the head of government set priority objectives: stabilizing the macroeconomy, controlling inflation, stimulating growth and guaranteeing major economic balances. He insisted on controlling public debt and foreign debt, while improving the material life of the population and preserving territorial integrity.
Particular attention must be paid to the application of the Resolutions of the XIVe National Party Congress and three strategic breakthroughs concerning institutions, infrastructure and human resources.
The Prime Minister demanded that the Government Office immediately engage in its duties with a spirit of innovation and increased political responsiveness. He urged executives to cultivate solidarity according to the motto “dialogue to consolidate trust”, while taking into high consideration intelligence, time and promoting work efficiency.
In conclusion, he reiterated his absolute confidence in the government’s ability to instill a new dynamic to contribute to the development of a powerful, prosperous and socialist Vietnam, in accordance with the major national guidelines for the future of the Fatherland in this spring season full of promises of success for all Vietnamese citizens.
