With the new search trends, supported by Gemini, media, creators, brands and researchers have even easier and faster access to everything that concerns users.
Anyone who works with the latest trends to create campaigns, articles or analyzes probably relies on Google Trends in the digital space. Because Google’s analysis tool offers insight into different developments that concern billions of users. On January 20th, for example, these are the Northern Lights (which have already led to memes), Valentino and Brooklyn Beckham.
In the future, Google Trends users will not only be able to access the insights on the Explore Page, but also use AI to carry out a comprehensive analysis of the hottest topics. Thanks to the new integration of Gemini, trends can be directly analyzed for their relevance to your topic area in a dedicated panel on the edge of the new Exlpore page. On the one hand, Gemini suggests appropriate prompts to quickly find out more about the topics and their relevance in the search history. On the other hand, users can now compare eight search terms in parallel and view a list of the 50 top searches and the 50 fastest-growing searches.
On the blog The Keyword, Google’s product manager for Google Trends delivers, Nir Kalushan example:
For example, if you’re researching trending dog breeds, up to eight search terms like ’golden retriever’ or ’beagle,’ will automatically populate the graph so you can easily compare them. The side panel will also show related ideas like ’hypoallergenic dog breeds’ or ’large dog breeds’ to help you dive deeper. Hover over a search term to edit it, or use the country, time and property filters to adjust the Trends timeline.
In addition to the optimized range of functions, Google provides an overhauled layout for the new Explore Page. Each search term receives its own icon and color to make it easier to distinguish. The brand new experience will initially be rolled out on the desktop and then gradually to all users. The Google Trends Update is the next example of Google’s comprehensive Gemini integration into various proprietary solutions.
