Google Phone App Introduces Customizable Calling Cards
Personalize Incoming call Screens with Fullscreen Images and Custom Names
Teh Google Phone app is rolling out a new feature that allows users to customize the incoming call screen with fullscreen images and personalized names for their contacts.
Within the Phone by Google app, a “Calling card” page lists all added cards for quick editing. This is accessible from the Phone appS Settings list.
Users can select a contact and choose a new picture from their gallery or Google Photos. The image can be cropped and framed, and the contact’s name can be customized with a variety of font and colour options.
After setting, this image will appear on the incoming and in-call screens as a fullscreen image.
The customized image will appear as a fullscreen image on incoming and in-call screens. These images are unique to the user and do not affect how they appear to others.
This feature is rolling out to stable users with version 188 of the Google Phone app. It is coming alongside the Pixel 10 and ahead of the Material 3 Expressive launch with Android 16 QPR1.
