Google is reportedly working on a new function for detecting music generated by artificial intelligence.
Over the years, generative artificial intelligence has come to corrupt the entire creative industry. From now on, LLMs are capable of generating images, video, but also music. Some specialized companies go so far as to form partnerships with the historic majors of the music industry.
Faced with this development, music streaming platforms have implemented detection systems to alert their users of their consumption and avoid fraudulent remuneration of fake artists.

Save the Galaxy!
Even after the release of the latest models, the Samsung Galaxy of previous generations remain excellent references. Find the entire Samsung Galaxy range at a reduced price in reconditioned form on Back Market.
For its part, Google also wants to take the subject in hand. After launching a detection system based on SynthID watermarks for multimedia files, the firm wants to do the same for music.
Simplified detection
Today, users can already check the origin of their files by importing them via Google Gemini. A functional method which can be tedious in the case of pieces of music. However, Google could simplify this process. According to Android Authority, the latest version of the Google application for Android reveals the outlines of a music search tool integrated into the application.
At the moment, there is no indication of the verification system present in this tool. Users’ smartphones could also include a local copy of the most popular electronic signatures as well as a specialized detector for pieces generated by the Lyria 3 tool within Google Gemini.
A case to follow.
