Google’s New ‘G’ logo Rolling Out Across Apps and Web

The updated logo is now appearing in more places after its debut at I/O 2025.

MOUNTAIN VIEW – Google’s refreshed ‘G’ logo, initially unveiled during the I/O 2025 keynote, is now being implemented across a wider range of applications and web interfaces.

the updated logo was first seen on the Google app for both Android and iOS platforms the previous week. It has now been integrated into the favicon for google.com. The gradient affect, while subtle, is still noticeable, wiht the colors red, yellow, green, and blue blending into each other.

Here’s a breakdown of where you can spot the new ‘G’ logo:

Google App and Search Widget

The Google app has updated its homescreen Search bar widget to feature the new icon. this change also applies to the Dynamic Color option, referred to as “device” in the customization settings. however, the Pixel Launcher search bar has not yet been updated, even with Android 16 QPR1 Beta 1. It is anticipated that Google will refresh this for the final Android 16 release.

Search AI Mode

The new logo is also present at the top of the input page in Search AI Mode.

iOS Search Results

On iOS devices, the ‘G’ logo is displayed in the top-left corner of every Search results page, while the Android app uses the full “Google” text in the same location.
