From navy SEAL to NASA Astronaut: A Journey of Dedication

Johnny Kim’s path to the stars is a testament to his unwavering dedication and exceptional abilities. In 2017, he was selected as one of the final 12 candidates from a pool of approximately 1600 applicants in NASA’s astronaut selection program. After rigorous training, he officially earned the title of NASA astronaut in 2020, marking a meaningful milestone as one of the first Korean-American NASA astronauts.
