GloRilla Teases New Single “Typa” Sampling Keyshia Cole’s “Love

The Memphis rapper is gearing up to drop her first solo track since her debut album, “GLORIOUS,” with a new single that samples a classic hit.


GloRilla is set to release her new single “Typa” on Friday (June 6), which is expected to include a sample of Keyshia Cole’s 2005 popular song “Love.” The Memphis native announced the upcoming track on Instagram on Wednesday (June 4).

The song was initially teased during GloRilla’s Coachella performance in April. A snippet of the unreleased song was played during her set,and clips quickly spread online,creating anticipation for its official release.

“Typa” is GloRilla’s first solo release as her album GLORIOUS, which came out in October 2024 and included songs such as “WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME” and collaborations with Megan Thee Stallion, T-Pain, and muni Long. GLORIOUS achieved meaningful success, making GloRilla the top-selling female rap artist in first-week sales for 2024 and later earning gold certification from the RIAA.

Since the album’s release, she has performed at Coachella and Hot 97’s Summer Jam, and appeared on Anycia’s “Never Need.” She is also scheduled to perform at BET Experience Fan Fest and iHeartRadio Music Festival.

“Typa” marks GloRilla’s first solo drop since her debut album GLORIOUSwhich arrived in October 2024.
