Unblocking of the Ambès oil depots
An operation to unblock access points to the Ambès oil depots (DPA) in Bassens, occupied by the Gironde Rural Coordination, was decided by the prefect of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, prefect of Gironde.
This operation gave rise to an arrest for obstruction. No injuries were reported, but numerous damages were noted on the roads.
A permanent dialogue was then maintained throughout the day between state services and representatives of the mobilized farmers.
Clearing operations around the site are carried out by Bordeaux Métropole services. At this stage, around 700 tonnes of materials have already been evacuated.
The objective is now to restore normal activity to the site as quickly as possible.
Some farmers from Rural Coordination 33 are currently conducting a snail operation on the RN10 between Saint-André-de-Cubzac and Cavignac. The rest of the farmers from CR33 are about to leave the proximity of the oil depots.
Demonstrations of Young Farmers of Gironde
At the same time, members of the Young Farmers of Gironde were invited this morning to calmly leave the roundabout they occupied in Saint-André-de-Cubzac. After organizing a heavy goods vehicle screening operation in Peujard (RN10), they carried out a symbolic “fire of anger” action on the Garosse roundabout in Saint-André-de-Cubzac.
State services remain fully mobilized to avoid any further disturbance of public order. The prefect issued an exceptional decree authorizing traffic for the transport of fuel this Sunday, so that service stations are replenished as quickly as possible.
He reaffirms his desire to continue a permanent dialogue with the agricultural world, in a spirit of responsibility and appeasement.
The prefect thanks the police and all the public services mobilized on the ground and at the departmental operational center to ensure the smooth running of this operation.
