by drbyos

Turin – At the start of the 107th Giro d’Italia, German professional cyclist Maximilian Schachmann narrowly missed out on winning the day on the first stage and finished in second place.

The Berlin native had a thrilling duel in the final sprint with favorite Tadej Pogacar, which he won. However, he had to admit defeat to the Ecuadorian Jhonatan Narvaez, who took victory in Turin at the start of the three-week tour of Italy. Pogacar, who is aiming for a double of Giro and Tour de France wins this year, came third.

The 30-year-old German, who had already shown strong form at the Tour of the Basque Country, impressively confirmed his ambitions for a stage win in the Giro. Schachmann, who last took part in a Grand Tour in 2022 due to bad luck with injury, attacked with 16 kilometers to go and positioned himself in a promising chasing group. Quickly after the start in Venaria Reale, six riders took the lead, some gaining a lead of almost three minutes.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that NATO exercises near the Russian border are evidence that the alliance is preparing for conflict with Moscow.

According to Sputnik, on May 4, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that NATO is “seriously preparing” for a potential conflict with Moscow.

“This is false information, aimed at diverting public attention away from NATO’s activities. They need justification to increase unprecedented military scale,” Ms. Zakharova said.

According to Reuters, NATO’s Steadfast Defender exercise began at the end of January and will end in May. This exercise involves about 90,000 soldiers from all 32 NATO member countries and 1,100 combat vehicles.

Ukraine Russia War, Last Minute | The New…

At the end of 716 days of war in Ukraine, each of the countries in the fray claim to have neutralized the drones launched tonight by the enemy. Russia said its defenses neutralized the 19 launched by Ukraine on four of its regions, including Oriol with energy facilities as its objective. For its part, Ukraine scored the demolition of 10 of the 16 drones launched by Russia on “only civil infrastructure” in Kharkiv.

In the first message of Olexander Syrsk as the new commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian armed forces, replacing the charismatic Valery Zaluzhny, said that “only by continually changing and perfecting the means and methods of war will we be successful,” he wrote on Telegram, before proclaiming “together towards victory!” President Volodymyr Zelensky named “hero of Ukraine” Zaluzhny.

The Kremlin does not believe that this change in the military leadership will alter the outcome of what it calls a “special military operation.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin in his interview with the commentator Tucker Carlson, he questioned because USAneeded to spend so much on arming Ukraine for a war that, in his opinion, is in some ways a “civil war” and he showed himself willing to negotiate.

The Best Summer Fragrances For This Year: Natural…

#summer #fragrances #year #natural #exotic

Each of us gradually puts winter spicy and heavier perfumes in a drawer, and in addition to our proven summer evergreens, we like to be inspired by what to try this year for a novelty that would settle on our long-term dressing table. But finding a new fragrance is not an easy discipline at all. What you smell on a colleague may smell completely different on you, so take your time and try the fragrance in person.

How to smell as long as possible

Before you go hunting, first clarify what you expect from the scent. If you need long lasting power and don’t have the time or thoughts of “chanting” during the day, then look no further perfume or eau de parfum, which last the longest. The reason is the higher percentage of essential oils – i.e. fragrance components. Mostly, however, it will be fragrances based on a slightly heavier base, such as woody notes or amber. But if you don’t mind carrying the bottle with you during the day and re-scenting yourself, you’ll be fine with eau de toilette, which doesn’t last as long, but for that you can afford a much fresher scent and its price is much more favorable.
