Giorgio Romani, Veteran Pesaro Politician, dies at 86

A pillar of Pesaro’s political scene, Giorgio Romani, passed away at 86.
His dedication to democratic values and local governance will be remembered.

Giorgio romani, a long-time political activist in Pesaro, has died at the age
of 86.

Giampiero Bellucci, municipal secretary of the Democratic Party, and
Giuseppe Cavallo, secretary of the circle Pd Pantano, issued a joint
statement.
They recalled that “Giorgio had joined the Democratic Party after his
constitution and was active in the activity of the Pantano club bringing his
rich experience of political militancy.”

According to Bellucci and Cavallo, “He had been and continued to be a true
Christian Democrat, passionate, nostalgic for his experience in the ranks of
the party as an organizer, and then as elected in the institutions: city
councilor, provincial councilor, very close to the leading representatives
of the Pesaro DC. after the crisis of the parties of the First Republic, he
had remained attentive and active, adhering with his temperament and passion
to the Democratic Party, working in the activity of the Pantano club and
supporting their members in the municipal elections.”

“A cordiality and mutual estimate linked us,” the two Democratic Party
leaders stated, “and we united the political passion for the city and for
the democratic growth of our country.”

Funeral Arrangements

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, june 3, at 3:00 PM at the Cappuccini
church, “to which he was very close.” Bellucci and Cavallo extended their
condolences to his wife Luciana, his grandchildren, and “the many who
crossed him in the local political courses.”

Giorgio had joined the Democratic party after his constitution and was
active in the activity of the Pantano club.
