Washington – Back where it all started, the right Lucas Giolito shone in an overwhelming victory for 11-2 About nationals at the Nationals Park on Friday.
Throwing for the first time against the team that selected it in the amateur draft, the right -hander was dominant again, gaining its fifth consecutive decision, after completing 7.2 entries – its greater amount of the season – and allowing a single race.

Trevor Story connected a bambinazo of Dos Rayitas, his 13th of the season, and finished the 5-4 day with three races scored and four driven, while Boston accumulated 16 hits for his fourth victory in six games, breaking a streak of five losses on the road.
Jarren Durán contributed two hits and three ranked races. Roman Anthony was embasted five times with two hits, two tickets and a ball, scoring a race.
Giolito participated in six games (four openings) for nationals in 2016. On Friday, he allowed four isolated hits and struck out seven with three tickets, 10 days before his 31st birthday. Giolito made 108 launches, 75 of them Strikes, mixing his slider, change and straight of four seams, reaching 96.3 mph.
“It was so long ago,” Giolito said. “Nine, ten years ago I debuted here. I was definitely excited to return, because it has spent a lot of time. I marked another team on the list. I am not facing any of the same boys. It is a different club now.”
