Few ballots but many certainties in Genoa ready for the trip to Cagliari the day after tomorrow, underlines the Genoese edition of La Repubblica. Vasquez played the last half hour in the friendly match played by his Mexico against Paraguay in Cuenca: De Rossi will only have him available for training tomorrow. The coach will have to evaluate whether the captain will return very tired from his commitments in South America: Sabelli is however ready to replace him, given that he can play left-back. The use of Marcandalli, Ellertsson or Fini was more difficult as he was pushed back by Vieira. In addition to Otoa and Ekuban, Cuenca also needs to be evaluated, as he did not take part in the friendly against Mexico due to “muscle overload” as the Paraguayan coach defined it. Another possible stop, after those of Cornet and Onana.

Among the certainties, there is the return of Malinovskyi who should be deployed in midfield in the 3-5-2 and lead the team. In attack there is Ekuban in doubt and Ekhator recovered from plantar fasciitis: therefore the use of Vitinha and Colombo is possible. However, there is Gronbaek who is clamoring for a starting shirt: in Tuesday’s open session he stood out for his good form.
