Genoa Fish Safety: Restaurant Closures & Rotten Fish Issues

The Genoa” title=”… – Wikipedia”>Genoa Coast Guard carried out a series of checks on the commercial fish supply chain at fishmongers and restaurants in Genoa and its province.

In particular, serious sanitary deficiencies were found in 2 ethnic public businesses in the city.

In one, some fish products used for the preparations were in a poor state of conservation – the owner was reported to the Public Prosecutor’s Office pursuant to Law 283/62 and approximately 20 kg of product was seized.

In the second, in addition to some administrative violations relating to the origin of the fish products, the precarious hygiene conditions of the food storage and preparation rooms were ascertained – this situation also required the intervention of ASL 3 – Food Hygiene Service, which ordered the closure of the business until the hygienic-sanitary reconditioning of the premises.
