The incident unfolded around 9 p.m. on Dubbeldamseweg Zuid. According to police reports, two individuals riding fatbikes, described as “a boy and a girl,” were involved. One of them allegedly fired a gel blaster at the cyclists, a 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, both residents of Dordrecht.
RTV rijnmond reported that the 21-year-old male cyclist sustained injuries requiring hospital treatment. He has as been discharged and is recovering at home. The attack led to a confrontation,causing both cyclists to fall and sustain further injuries.
