Carabinieri blitz
The 55-year-old owner was reported. Intervention by the NAS and ATS carabinieri on 30 December: the end-of-year dinner already planned in the venue was cancelled.
2025 ended in the worst possible way for a shopkeeper from the historic center: with the bar closed by order of the authorities, the end-of-year dinner canceled and almost 16 thousand euros in fines. On December 30, two days before New Year’s Eve, a joint check by the Carabinieri, Nas and Ats triggered the suspension of the activity of the bar-gastronomy “Le Dolcezze del Fano e la Nancy” in via Calvi, transforming what was supposed to be an evening of celebration into an abrupt stop.

On Tuesday the carabinieri of the Labor Inspectorate Unit of Mantua, together with the soldiers of the Anti-adulteration and Health Unit (NAS) of Cremona and the inspectors of the Valpadana ATS, carried out a joint inspection in the deli bar. At the end of the investigations, the owner was reported to the judicial authority for failure to adopt the Risk Assessment Document (DVR)mandatory by law.
«They didn’t renew it for me at the trade association – the owner defends himself – I asked for the renewal, but it didn’t arrive in time.”
Violations
During the checks, according to what was reported by the inspection bodies, Furthermore, serious hygienic-sanitary deficiencies and the presence of expired and untraceable food would have emergedin addition to the failure to prepare the HACCP manual and the absence of information on allergens for customers. Violations that led to the issuance of an activity suspension order, as well as administrative sanctions of almost 16 thousand euros and the seizure of goods worth around 300 euros.
The venue will appeal
As regards the “serious hygienic-sanitary deficiencies of the premises, as well as the presence of expired and untraceable food” found by the NAS, the owner disputes the extent of the irregularities. «It was a small thing. They came here after a report from someone who was angry with me», he claims, announcing an immediate appeal. The restaurant will be able to reopen as soon as the owner has complied with the documentation required by law. But in the meantime the blow, both economic and image-related, is heavy, especially because it came on the eve of the holidays, forcing the cancellation of an event that would have represented one of the most important receipts of the year.
Theft at home
A dark period for the owner, which comes after another bad experience: the theft suffered in her home last October. A robbery, which occurred in the house where he lives, which would have been preceded by a real stalking. To act, the criminals would have waited for the family to leave to go to work.
The loot had been small but the damage including broken doors and windows had been quantified at around 6 thousand euros.
