The former United back is “very concerned” for the club.
Gary Neville does not hold back when describing Manchester United‘s situation during Ruben Amorim. He is crystal clear in his judgment after the 1-3 loss to Brentford on Saturday, according to Sky Sports.
– I’m very worried, says Neville in his podcast.
Neville responds specifically to the fact that Mason Mount has been used as a wingback for periods.
– You can’t put Mason Mount as the left wingback. Sorry, but it simply can’t happen, he says.
– I at times struggled to see him in his natural position, but to actually put him out there on the left is ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.
He points out that Mount was again placed on the edge against Brentford in the final minutes.
– Then it starts to look awful, Neville continues.
The figures under Amorim speak for themselves: United have only won nine of 33 Premier League matches, and have not yet clearly clearly two straight league victories.

Neville fears that the situation could be critical if United loses to Sunderland on Old Trafford on Saturday.
He emphasizes that Amorim no longer has any excuses. Amorim has had a good and long season run, and he has one week between each match because Manchester United are not in Europe.
– Still, the achievements are as bad as always. The results are disastrous, really, in Manchester United context. The money used has been big, and there are some things I see that are a massive concern, says Neville.
