Garmin intends to prepare a surprise for all users of its devices using the Garmin Connect application this year.
Yes, it’s slowly approaching that time of the year when everyone is counting down to Christmas and the first summaries appear. Many streaming platforms treat us to special presentations during this period, such as Spotify Wrapped or YouTube Rewind. It looks like Garmin will join the group of such platforms this year. The Rundown section will appear in the Connect application at the end of the year, which is expected to be rich in many interesting facts about our training.
Garmin Connect Rundown
Athletes, including amateurs, love all kinds of statistics. You can find a lot of them on the Garmin Connect platform, but we don’t always want to look through the entire history. That’s why Garmin decided to make it easier for us this year and is apparently preparing an activity summary for everyone. The report called Rundown should appear on user accounts before the end of the year, and it contains a lot of interesting information focused on three main disciplines – running, cycling and swimming. As reported by the5krunner portal, this summary contains a lot of hard data, such as our this year’s records for 1 km, 5 km, 10 km, and even in the half marathon and marathon. There will also be the fastest 40 km cycled, the highest total climbs and the longest ride in one day. There will also be statistics related to swimming and weightlifting.
But that’s not all. Garmin also intends to draw some interesting facts from our history. We will therefore find out the total distance traveled or the sum of the heights overcome, compared to, for example, the height of the Eiffel Tower. We will see how many calories we burned and how many pieces of chocolate cake we could eat thanks to it, and the watch will also calculate how many days we spent on various activities throughout the year. According to the announcement, it will also include statistics on our sleep and the value of the Body Battery indicator, and Garmin will also clearly state what activity is our favorite. This will be an interesting summary, similar to the morning and evening reports that have been available in many watch models for some time now.
For now, however, it’s still November and it will probably take a few more weeks before Garmin Connect Rundown appears on our accounts. The report is scheduled to be released at the turn of 2025 and 2026.
