Combating Youth Gambling: A Call for Creative Solutions
Kangwon Land, in collaboration with teh Integrated Supervisory Commission, is spearheading a proactive initiative to address the growing concern of youth gambling. They are launching a nationwide “Youth Gambling Contents Contest” in May, aiming to raise awareness about the risks associated with underage gambling and promote addiction prevention.
Contest Details: Unleashing Creativity for a Cause
The contest invites individuals and teams to submit public relations content centered around the theme of informing the public about the dangers of youth gambling and the critical importance of preventing addiction.Participants can express their creativity through three distinct categories:
- short Films
- Posters
- Slogans
the deadline for submissions is May 31st, offering ample time for participants to craft compelling and impactful content.
Prizes and Recognition: rewarding Awareness Efforts
A total of 18.9 million won will be awarded to the winners. The selection process will conclude on June 20th, with prizes distributed across each category:
- One Grand Prize
- Two Best Awards
- Three Excellence Awards
In a unique initiative, the school of the grand prize winner will receive 5 million won in support for gambling problem prevention programs, further amplifying the impact of the contest.
Beyond the Contest: sustained Efforts for Prevention
Kangwon Land is committed to extending the reach of the contest beyond the submission period. Winning entries will be showcased at the “Youth Gambling Empathy Forum” in July, and promotional materials featuring the winning works will be distributed to enhance gambling awareness among the public.
