Addressing Community Concerns Ahead of the G7 Summit
In readiness for the upcoming G7 Summit, a dedicated Community Information Center has been established at the Stoney Nakoda Resort & casino in Mînî Thnî, Alberta. this initiative, spearheaded by the Integrated Security Group (GIS), under the direction of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (GRC), in collaboration with the Border Management Services (BGS) and Global Affairs Canada, aims to provide local residents with a direct line of interaction regarding the summit’s potential impact on their daily lives.
The center serves as a crucial resource for addressing questions and alleviating concerns related to the summit, ensuring that the community remains informed and engaged throughout the event.
Accreditation and Access to the Controlled Zone
A key focus of the Community Information center is to assist individuals with the accreditation process necessary for accessing the controlled access zone, which will be in effect from June 10 to June 18, 2025. Representatives from Border Management Services (BGS) will be on-site to guide residents and stakeholders through the request process.
Accreditation is mandatory for anyone needing to enter or exit the controlled zone during the specified dates. This measure is in place to ensure the safety and security of both summit participants and the local community.

The G7 Community Information Center is open to the public Monday to Friday, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.,between May 12 and June 9,2025. The center is located at the Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino (888 Nakoda Way, Mînî Thnî, Alberta).
