Friuli Earthquake: Malborghetto Epicenter – Updates

Light earthquake in Malborghetto: magnitude 2.9

A slight earthquake shock yesterday evening the mountain area of the Upper Friuli. At 11.19pm on October 3, the seismographers of the Ingv (National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology) recorded a magnitude earthquake 2.9 with an epicenter located about 6 kilometers south-west of the municipality of Malborghetto Valbruna.

The shock, albeit mild, was perceived in some countries of the mountain area of the Upper Friuli, in particular in the neighboring municipalities, where several inhabitants reported having warned a short tremor. There are no damage to people or things and they are not called to the firefighters operating center.
