Liverpool manager, Arne Slot, is still careful about playing Jeremie Frimpong. He doesn’t want to force Frimpong, who is just recovering from injury in the middle of the Reds’ busy schedule.

Frimpong returned to play after being injured for a month when Liverpool beat West Ham United 5-2 last weekend. He came on to replace Joe Gomez in the 77th minute.

This Dutch wing-back contributed one assist after entering the field in the West Ham match. His assist was the start of Axel Disasi’s own goal.

Liverpool manager, Arne Slot, will again rely on Frimpong when he visits Wolverhampton Wanderers headquarters, Wednesday (3/2/2026). Even so, Slot will still be careful about Frimpong’s fitness condition, who has just recovered from injury.

Moreover, the Reds will have a busy schedule. They have to play three matches in just seven days. After this they will face Wolves again in the fourth round of the FA Cup (7/2) and face Galatasaray in the first leg of the last 16 of the Champions League.

Therefore, Slot does not want to force Frimpong. Remember, Liverpool is still competing in three different competitions.

“Jeremie’s return is very exciting, however [mengatur menit bermainnya] it is indeed a consideration. We will play three games in seven days. Because we will play against Galatasaray [di Anfield] and then play early at Brighton,” said Slot as quoted on the Liverpool website.

“Those are the things you have to consider, especially with players who are recovering from injury. But we also know the importance of every game. That is a challenge for the performance staff, the players themselves and the manager,” he explained.
