Friends Star Death: Doctor Faces Court Ruling

Mark Chavez admitted his involvement in helping the actor who played Chandler in the famous series, obtain ketamine illegally.

Chavez was sentenced to eight months of house arrest and 300 hours of community service.

Chavez is one of five suspects involved in the actor’s death, according to the American judiciary.

The death of Matthew Perry, who was found unconscious in his Jacuzzi in October 2023, shocked fans of the series “Friends” and sparked grief among Hollywood.

The actor spoke publicly about his problems with addiction, and used to take “ketamine” under the supervision of specialists as part of depression treatment sessions.

But the use of this legal drug is sometimes modified for purposes of stimulation or entertainment, and the actor fell again into the spiral of addiction in the fall of 2023, according to the Federal Prosecutor’s Office.

This setback led the actor to fall prey to “unscrupulous” doctors, according to the authorities.

It is suspected that the main doctor prosecuted in the case, Salvador Plasencia, played a key role in his death, even though he did not provide the actor with the “ketamine” that killed him.

The investigation showed that Plasencia organized the actor’s “exploitation”, and he was sentenced to 30 months in prison earlier this month.

Investigators found a text message written by Plasencia in September 2023 that said, “I wonder how much this idiot will pay.”

The authorities previously explained that the ketamine packages cost the doctors only $12, and they sold them to the actor for $2,000.
