Plumas Rural Services announces that free trauma recovery services are available to Plumas County parents.
“Healing is possible and you don’t have to do it alone,” say organizers. “By addressing the effects of unhealed trauma, parents can improve self-connection, develop healthier coping strategies and strengthen their familial relationships.”
PRS says unhealed trauma can profoundly affect parenting by causing
- Emotional detachment
- Unpredictable reactivity
- Overprotective behaviors
- Anxiety
- Emotional dysregulation
- Chronic stress
Trauma recovery services are available to Plumas County parents of school-aged children seeking to heal from their trauma and improve their everyday lives.
