The City of Annapolis Mayor’s Office NapTown Anti-Dope Move(meant) (N.A.M.), in partnership with Community Legal Services and the Maryland Department of Labor’s Division of Workforce Development and Adult Learning, will host a free Legal Services and Overdose Prevention Awareness Workshop on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. The event will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Michael E. Busch Anne Arundel County Public Library, located at 1414 West Street in Annapolis.

Connecting Residents with Legal, Career, and Community Resources

The workshop will bring together legal representatives, employers, workforce specialists, and community service providers to assist residents in one convenient location. Participants will have access to:
- One-on-one legal consultations to answer questions or file petitions
- Workforce development programs, including job training and career advancement opportunities
- Community resource vendors providing support in areas such as job placement, education, mental health, crisis response, and housing assistance
Additional resources will include information on utility and rental assistance programs, as well as guidance on navigating local support services.

Overdose Prevention and Awareness
As part of the event, N.A.M. will host a hands-on overdose prevention awareness workshop aimed at educating residents about the opioid crisis in Annapolis. The session will cover how to recognize the signs of an overdose, respond effectively, and take steps to prevent overdose deaths.
Free and Open to the Public
Parking will be available on-site, and all services are offered free of charge. The City encourages residents to attend, connect with local support networks, and gain valuable tools for legal, professional, and personal well-being.
