This proposal follows a series of violent incidents that have shocked the nation and prompted a debate about digital control and safety.

The recent tragic death of Melanie, a 31-year-old school assistant in Nozhan, has intensified the discussion. melanie, a mother of a four-year-old, was killed in an attack that highlighted the vulnerability of school staff. Due to suffering from crohn’s disease, she found it arduous to work as a hairdresser and took a job as a school assistant.

Her role involved maintaining order, assisting teachers, and ensuring student safety. She was unarmed and held a purely administrative position. the incident has raised concerns about the safety of schools, once considered safe havens.

France has seen a surge in violence involving weapons among teenagers as the beginning of the year. On March 27, a 17-year-old high school student was fatally stabbed in Jer. Another incident occurred on April 24 at a private school in Nantes, where a 16-year-old stabbed a 15-year-old student 57 times, injuring three others.

A week prior to Melanie’s death, a 10-year-old student was attacked at a school in Cray by a 12-year-old former student who had been expelled for aggression. The attacker had previously been removed from school twice for violent behavior, including beating another student and attempting to strangle a friend.

Government Response and Proposed Measures
