Mellynda Hartel has been with the Fox Television Stations since 1990. Most recently, she has served as svp and gm of KTVU Fox 2 and KICU Channel 36 KTVU+ since 2018. Hartel also spent nearly 12 years at the Fox-owned duopoly in Phoenix, first as vp and general sales manager, then vice president and director of sales. She’s also worked as the local sales manager for WFXT, the then-Fox-owned station in Boston, Massachusetts. Before that, Hartel held the roles of national sales manager, account executive, and sales assistant at WTTG Fox 5 DC. Before joining FTS, she began her career in broadcasting as a media assistant for Goldberg Marchesano.
“It has been an honor to work for Jack and lead this talented team, and after 35 years with FOX I am ready to pass the baton to Amber, who I trust to continue the tradition of excellence,” said Hartel.
