Foreign Net Sell: BBCA & Jumbo Shares Lead Decline

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Foreign investors are still continuing their net selling action in the Indonesian capital market. In today’s trading, Thursday (29/1/2026), foreigners recorded a net sell of IDR 4.44 trillion in all markets.

In detail, net foreign sales on the regular market reached IDR 5.11 trillion. Meanwhile, net buying in the negotiation and cash markets reached IDR 670 billion.

Foreign selling in the regular market is still dominated by Bank Central Asia (BBCA). The bank issuer belonging to the Djarum group recorded net foreign sell of IDR 2.06 trillion in all markets. This note exacerbates the selling action of foreign investors in BBCA, which this week (four trading days) has reached IDR 8.09 trillion.

It is known that today’s BBCA shares are the most traded shares by investors, reaching almost IDR 20 trillion or more than a quarter of the total IHSG transactions today.

The next share that many foreigners released was Bank Mandiri (BMRI). This state-owned bank issuer recorded net foreign sales of IDR 853 billion.

  6. PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk. (TLKM) – IDR 273 billion
  7. PT Impack Pratama Industri Tbk. (IMPC) – IDR 237 billion
  8. PT Petrose Tbk. (PTRO) – IDR 214 billion
  9. PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk. (MDKA) – IDR 156 billion
  10. PT Merdeka Gold Resources Tbk. (GOLD) – IDR 125 billion

Meanwhile, the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) cut significant losses in today’s trading, Thursday (29/1/2026). At the end of trading, the JCI closed down 88.35 points or weakened 1.06% to the level of 8,223.20, reducing the correction significantly after sinking up to 10% after the trading halt opened.

A total of 521 shares fell, 214 rose, and 73 did not move. Today’s transaction value is classified as jumbo or reached IDR 68.18 trillion, involving 99.11 billion shares in 4.93 million transactions.
