Ford Puma: Range, Style & Hands-Free Tech | New Model Review

by Archynetys Economy Desk

While at first glance, the Ford Puma does not bring any major changes for the new model year, it has undergone a strong technical improvement, especially its electric version. Thanks to the improved design of the batteries, the Puma Gen-E will offer a range of up to 417 kilometers, which is a noticeable improvement compared to the original 376 kilometers.

In addition, both the combustion and purely electric models now have support for BlueCruise assisted steering technology, which allows drivers to take their hands off the steering wheel on selected highway sections. The car takes care of the driving, but the driver still has to monitor the traffic and be ready to take control of the car for which he is responsible.

Similar to the Mustang Mach-E and Kuga models, the feature will be available both as a one-time purchase and as a monthly or annual subscription. However, the necessary hardware is standard, and new cars get a three-month trial.

The infotainment has also been upgraded to offer premium connectivity, allowing access to video streaming or karaoke. There is also online navigation with access to traffic information. Both services will be available both as a one-time purchase and as a subscription.

In addition, the automaker has expanded the range of colors. The Gen-E electric model is now also available in Cactus gray, while the combustion model is now available in Electric yellow, originally intended only for electric cars.

And the brand also presents a special BlueCruise edition, which will offer the BlueCruise function activated as standard, exclusive VaporBlue blue paint, contrasting black details, black painted wheels and special Nordic Blue upholstery. The edition will be available for both Puma models and for the larger Kuga SUV model.
