“Any sport, anytime, anywhere.” This is how “Equip Sport” advertises its “sports boxes” and app. Sports equipment is available at public leisure sports facilities or football fields in three-part blue boxes and can be borrowed free of charge. There are already 35 of them in Munich, supported by Adidas.
The Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district wants to try this out in Berlin and has started a pilot project. Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg is also supposed to be a pilot district – but people there are still skeptical.
