Franck Rakotomanana has been elected president of the WT FMTKD

Franck Rakotomanana is the new president of the Taekwondo Federation

A new boss arrives. Franck Tiana Rakotomanana surprises and dethrones the outgoing president, Christian Richard Ramanantsoa. The elective General Assembly of the Malagasy Taekwondo Federation, preceded by the ordinary one, was held yesterday at the headquarters of the Malagasy Olympic Committee in Ivandry. The president recently reappointed at the head of the Analamanga League, Franck Tiana Rakotomanana, won handily with a score of five votes to two.

The seventh league, Vatovavy Fitovinany, has not yet had the right to vote because its election was not assisted by the Federation. Under tension, the appointment of the three members of the electoral commission was carried out during the ordinary general assembly which preceded the election.

“Our priority is to raise the level of Malagasy Taekwondo. We will send technicians to train referees and competitors in the regions. These leagues like Analamanga deserve to have a good level and to join the national team,” confides the new president of the Federation, Franck Rakotomanana. “We will try to increase the number of competitions. We will now organize two national-scale competitions. One in the capital and the other in the region. This is with the aim of popularizing Taekwondo a little more in the regions,” he adds.

Paul Skenes: Rising Through the Ranks at Triple-A

The Path to Paul Skenes’ Major League Debut

As the anticipation builds for Paul Skenes’ potential Major League debut,⁣ there is no set‍ date yet. The Pittsburgh Pirates are currently ⁣facing a gap⁢ in their starting rotation due to Marco Gonzales’ placement on the injured list.

A Patient Approach

Despite being MLB Pipeline’s No. 3 overall ⁣prospect, Skenes is not the immediate choice for a call-up to the Majors. This ‌decision is not a reflection‍ of his⁣ performance but rather a strategic ⁤move to allow him to prepare for his first full professional ‌season.

Building Momentum

In his⁤ first three ⁣outings with ‌Triple-A ‌Indianapolis, Skenes has ⁤showcased impressive results, not‍ conceding ⁣a run and striking⁤ out⁣ 19 batters‌ while ‌only allowing six baserunners in 9 1/3 innings. However, his playing time has been intentionally limited to gradually increase his workload.

Strategic Development

General manager Ben Cherington emphasized the ⁤importance of managing Skenes’ pitching volume to ensure his long-term success. The Pirates⁣ are focused on gradually increasing his innings to avoid overwhelming him with a ‍sudden workload spike.

Past Precedents

The Pirates have historically been cautious with pitchers’ workloads, aiming to ⁣add ⁢no ‌more than 40-50 innings to their previous season’s workload.
