Foo Fighters called me Monday night to announce to me that they had decided to go in another direction with their drummer. There was no reason. Regardless, I have enjoyed the last two years with them both on and outside the stage, and I support everything they find the best for the group.
Freese, a seasoned musician with a 40-year career, expressed his surprise at the dismissal.
In my 40 years, I have never been fired from the group for 40 years, so while I’m not angry – just a little shocked and disappointed. Guess, as most of you know that I have always worked freelance and bounced between bands, so I am well.
